Guru Poornima is a Hindu festival celebrated all over India every year and this festival is mainly dedicated to the academic and spiritual teachers. Gu” in Sanskrit means ignorance or darkness and “Ru” means the remover of the darkness. The Guru is honoured as god in Hindus and to express respect towards Gurus, people worship them on this special day. To impart the significance of this auspicious day, teachers took special assembly and delivered the information through power point presentations and videos.
